Position Summary

The Sales Operations Analyst is a high-profile role, interacting with senior stakeholders across the organization. To succeed in this position, you’ll combine your strong business acumen, attention to detail, affinity for business process, and communication skills to drive cross-functional alignment aimed at achieving overall business objectives in an efficient and scalable manner primarily focused on sales functions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop and manage ongoing reporting to drive insights and maximize effectiveness of sales resources.
  • Support product pricing with analysis, customer pricing agreements, and systems updates.
  • Support marketing with analysis and systems
  • Engage with sales team to perform analysis and translate feedback into actionable activities and guidance
  • Support ongoing representative agreement compliance and renewal process
  • In coordination with IT department, maintain and develop SalesForce CRM and JDE ERP related to sales functions
  • Work with and analyze data to proactively find trends and business opportunities that sales and operations can utilize.
  • Using data, challenge sales team on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
  • Provide ad hoc analyses to understand quotas, sales rep performance, sales metrics, and competitor impact
  • Develop procedures to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of resources.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent in business, accounting or finance, MBA preferred; and a minimum of 3-5 year related business/financial experience and/or training.

Skills/Experience

  • Experience with SalesForce or similar CRM and JDE or similar ERP preferred.  Additional knowledge with databases and report writing software is a plus.
  • Experience building and managing database with preference for experience with PowerBI.
  • Ability to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience liaising with other teams, distilling requirements and information.
  • Ability to assess complex situations and communicate clearly both internally and externally.
  • Ability to interpret and write reports, procedures, business correspondence and effectively present to and respond to questions in front of groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to plan and perform a wide variety of duties requiring general knowledge of company policies and procedures applicable within area of responsibilities, and including their application to cases not previously covered.  Requires considerable judgment to work independently toward general results, devising methods, modifying or adapting standard procedures to meet different conditions, making decisions based on precedent and company policies.
