Skills/Experience:

  • A minimum of six (6) years experience with Manufacturing processes, preferably in Machining.
  • Current enrollment in CAPICS or PMAC program is preferred.
  • An advanced level of knowledge in SAP or equivalent integrated software system; planning experience in an international environment.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task; strong organization skills; good written and oral communication skills; strong inter-personal skills.
  • Good attention to detail given the company wide impact.
  • Ability to be proactive and incorporate efficiencies into daily tasks; creative individual with an expected ability to make recommendations for change and continuous improvement  initiatives.

 

The Incumbent must be a certified First Aid and CPR Provider. In this role, the incumbent will require company-sponsored Due Diligence and Emergency Response Training.  The individual should have undertaken formal management training and have a proven track record in the management of a large complex production group.

A strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and excellent organizational skills are required. The incumbent must be capable of reading, analyzing and interpreting documents general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. The ability to write complex reports and to effectively present information and respond to management and external suppliers is a requirement.

The incumbent in this role will be responsible for leading sub-contracting efforts for the Production Plant. They will maintain and refine an “approved supplier” methodology in accordance with internal requirements. The Coordinator will monitor supplier performance and will be responsible for processing purchase orders with sound purchasing practices and applicable company regulations mirroring forecasted production/service use and use the data to drive corrective actions.

 

Reviews proposals for price, delivery time and quality and then selects suppliers; evaluates price tends, new products and manufacturing process; approves and qualifies vendors and authorizes purchase orders; institute and promote cost reduction projects; monitors the cost, schedule, and performance factors of major subcontractors and Related Manufacturing Companies. Researches and develops sources of supply for assigned commodities; coordinates with other departments to determine materials needed and schedules to be met; evaluates processes to determine their appropriateness and compatibility to company goals; and summarizes and reports recommendations to the Manager, Materials and Production Support.

 

Education:

  • An University degree/ Diploma in relevant discipline required
