Skills/Experience:

A minimum of six (6) years experience with Manufacturing processes, preferably in Machining; currently possesses and/or maintains CPIM (Certified Production & Inventory Management) designation is an asset; demonstrated proficiency in production control systems; specifically SAP applications; an advanced level of knowledge of SAP or equivalent integrated software system; planning experience in an international environment; must be proficient with MS Office; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; ability to multi-task; strong organization skills; good written and oral communication skills; strong inter-personal skills; good attention to detail given the company wide impact; ability to be proactive and incorporate efficiencies into daily tasks; creative individual with an expected ability to make recommendations for change and continuous improvement initiatives.

The incumbent in this role will be responsible for problem solving and provide expertise into the continuous improvement of planning and production processes and procedures. They will have the ability to quickly determine technical areas of concern and provide solutions. The Master Scheduler will set the order dates to level load (balance) the value stream demand to fulfill on-time delivery. The Master Scheduler will play a crucial role in deciding the overall production flow in the plant. Acting as the owner of the component plan the planner will have to decide what the best mix is to support the overall schedule, including factoring and scheduling in breakdown and short cycle requirements with little overall delivery impact as possible. The incumbent will also work with inter-functional teams to create and implement changes in process and systems related to planning and scheduling. The incumbent of this role will act as the key bridge between the Sales and Production Plans for their assigned area of responsibility. The Master Scheduler will provide technical information to support the on-time production and delivery of materials and production components in support of the Inventory and Serviceability goals of the company.

The incumbent of this role is responsible for prioritizing work, in conjunction with the area tactical planners, so as to best support the Manufacturing Plan. They are also responsible for creation and execution of an inventory strategy that does not negatively impact delivery or financial goals.

The successful candidate for this role will have significant knowledge of Production Planning and Production Scheduling practices as well as strong SAP MM and / or PP experience, as well as exposure to SD & FI/CO. 

Education:

Must be a Graduate holding a Degree or diploma.
