Mold Masters is looking for an Industrial Process Engineer to join our team in Georgetown, Ontario.   

The Industrial Process Engineer is responsible for process design, operation, and implementation. The successful candidate will be able to manage industry leading CNC automation processes with a goal to improve efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
  • Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
  • Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification
  • Develop, execute, and maintain CAPEX plan
  • Lead and support lean activities and projects
  • Lead and support teams with quality initiative methods and tools
  • Install new equipment to improve a company’s manufacturing processes
  • Perform process simulations
  • Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data leveraging MRP system (preferably SAP)
  • Manage cost and time constraints and perform risk assessments.
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions.

The incumbent of this role has completed the required training and acquired hands-on experience that will allow them to interact with production personnel to resolve problems and independently follow up, as well as manage their workload daily with little supervision. The Industrial Process Engineer is responsible for prioritizing, meeting ISO standards and acting as a technical resource for other departments to resolve production and quality issues.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering/manufacturing engineering/ mechatronic engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience working under supervision of a mechanical or industrial engineer in a production setting OR prior experience as a manufacturing Engineer
  • Proficient with SOLIDWORKS / AutoCAD software
  • Practical knowledge of process related standards i.e. ASTM, ISO
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification or equivalent
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering design and applied technologies
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Prior work experience in industrial robotics and CNC machining
  • Highly proficient in automation, CNC production tactics, and other manufacturing processes
  • Effective communication and reporting skills for meetings with management to keep them informed of important project developments

Ability to initiate Engineering Changes to improve product manufacturing processes and/or documentation; provide advice and analysis on process efficiencies; develop and source new technology/automation, equipment, machining methods, tooling and tooling concepts; evaluate and review cost effectiveness of new technology/automation, equipment, machining methods, tooling and tooling concepts; ensure value in the manufacturing processes.

Ability to manage internal and external customer(s) and/or supplier(s) relationship(s) involving a range of products and services; provides operational advice in assigned area and identifies new approaches. Supervises assigned team’s output, including assigning work and providing input on performance issues and team concerns; accountable for tracking and reporting on assigned budget
