Hot Half Assembler

• A strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and excellent organizational skills are require
• Must be capable of reading and interpreting documents such as safety policy and procedures, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and to communicate effectively with co-workers, management and possibly external suppliers/customers is a requirement.  
• A mechanical aptitude, ability to apply common sense and problem solve involving several concrete variables in standardized situations is required.
• Hot Half Assemblers will be required to multi-task and set up and work on more than one Hot Half at a time.

Must be a Certified General Machinist or Electrician with a minimum of two (2) years post-apprenticeship experience, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel:

• A variety of Physical and Sensory demands are required throughout the shift, including the lifting of heavy materials with use of Overhead Crane, setting of tools, close attention to details with programs, specifications, blueprints and measuring of parts. Some aspects of jobs follow a monotonous process.
• While performing the duties of this position, the individual will be in contact with manual machinery and equipment. There may be contact with oils; noise level is moderate; safety boots and eye/ear protection are required; the working area is climate controlled.  In addition, the successful incumbent will be required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee may occasionally be required to crouch. The employee may occasionally lift items as heavy as 25lbs. Specific vision abilities may include the employee’s ability to see near and far distances.
