Basic Requirements:
•    Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering.
•    Minimum of 6 years of related experience.

Great to Haves:
•    Mold design experience. 
•    Experience in sheet metal enclosure design demonstrated proficiency in modeling and creating drawings.
•    Proficient in calculating design parameters; experience in applying industry generic or specific codes and standards.
•    Experience with Manufacturing Processes and with FEA tools. 
•    Experience and exposure with electrical systems.
•    The incumbent must have advanced skills with Pro/Engineer (Wildfire) and FEA (static, dynamics, and thermal) to conduct a wide variety of complex tasks in the creation/production of new designs, prototypes, and/or fixturing and tooling. They will independently apply the science of engineering to design and ensures that all designs are completely supported through calculations. The Engineering Designer will play a lead role in working with manufacturing and engineering teams to provide cost effective solutions to performance problems.
•    The incumbent is a strong contributor to development of new designs and/or processes at all stages, from concept creation to production tooling. They will be able to take sketches from industrial design and model in Pro/Engineer. They will use highest level of CAD skill and problem solving to create a complete model and finished CAD drawing.
