Basic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 1+ years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical school w/certificate is preferred.
  • Math Skills – basic math skills required, advanced preferred; general computer skills; knowledge and understanding of various measuring devices.
  • Problem Solving – identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations.
  • Written communication – must be able to complete required paperwork and provide information needed by subsequent shift workers, coworkers and supervisors.
  • Reading – read and understand written instructions, blueprints, job travelers, etc.
  • Listening – understand and retain oral job-related information and instructions received from coworkers and supervisors.  Listen for alarms and monitor equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Seeing – visually monitor machine to ensure proper mechanics are maintained and identify problems; specifically paying attention to detail.
  • Equipment – load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using forklift; use of overhead crane; maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.  Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
