Your experience should include:

  • Knowledgeable in thermoplastic polymers, types, characteristics, terminology
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools and the principles involved in productions of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstration of a strong work ethic and is a self-starter
  • Ability to determine causes of operating errors.
  • Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Ability to adhere to structured work guidelines and schedules
  • Ability to read and follow visual cues
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
  • Ability to work individually and as a team
  • Ability to give operating instructions
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications
  • Mechanical working knowledge, i.e. torque, stress etc.
  • Understanding of thermodynamic, flow characteristics related to material properties
  • Visual-conceptual ability to how polymers behave during the extrusion process
  • Ability to interpret data into conclusions in order to drive technical decisions
  • Innovative mind set to solve customer problems

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree-mechanical or chemical engineering; and/or
  • 5 to 7 years of related experience or equivalent years of experience and training in the plastics industry
  • Experience with plastic processing, plastic processing machinery preferred

 

Travel: This role may require frequent traveling.
