Position Summary:
Hillenbrand is hiring a Sr. Project Management, located in Batesville, IN, who is responsible for providing program direction and leadership to the IT Strategic Project team, while partnering with Corporate and Business Unit representatives in order to implement strategic projects spanning across the IT organization. The Sr. EIS Project Manager is also responsible for overseeing key functions performed by the Strategic Projects team, including management of special projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Responsible for managing the overall planning, execution and delivery of strategic projects (e.g., Technology Strategy execution, M&A)
Responsible for tracking project status and managing project issues and risks
Define and maintain project management methodology, which is a collection of processes, methods and tools that comprise the roadmap for managing any type of project or program
Responsible for all aspects of the project management discipline:
Planning and Estimating of the initial development and continual refinement of project work plans; delivers forecasts throughout the projects’ life.
Scope Management: ensure that the project focuses only on the work required for completing the project successfully, preventing work outside of scope that contributes to delays and overruns.
Financial (cost) Management: a step by step process of resource planning, cost estimating, cost budgeting, and cost control.
Human Resource Management: to match the right skills, experience, interests, and availability with the project staffing requirements, to ensure quality work is efficiently produced.
Communications Management: effectively communicates project status, define and execute communications plan, engage Corporate Communications
 
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Skills/Experience:
Required
Led and/or participated in an enterprise Project Management Office (PMO)
Advanced level of Project/Portfolio Management software (e.g. MS Project, Daptiv, etc.)
Advanced level Software implementation project processes
Strong Communication (written and oral), Organization, and Interpersonal Skills
Advanced analytical acumen with the ability to translate data, to insights, to action
Advanced presentation skills
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office programs (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel, MS Project)
 
Preferred
Certification as a Project Manager through PMI
Budget Management – Intermediate Level
Knowledge of CRM software, database software, Microsoft Office software
SQL knowledge
Experience working with projects implementing SaaS solutions.
Experience with project and program management software
 
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S. /B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field is required; and a minimum of 7-10 years related project management, project implementation, Marketing/Product Development or software development experience and/or training.

 
Travel:
Employee must be able to travel up to 20% of the time.
