Position Summary:

 

As a Learning Solutions Designer at Hillenbrand, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying the in-house programs that promote training and leadership development and improve our professional and organizational performance, including targeted compliance and competency-based training, leadership development programs, and engagement & onboarding programs. Your experience and strategic expertise will help us understand capability gaps and discern training needs that will help our global organization achieve our goals.

 

You’ll be responsible for designing and maintaining a portfolio of training programs.

You’ll start by establishing the components needed to make our training a success, including building an enterprise training calendar, identify or building enterprise compliance training assets, updating Code of Ethical business conduct course, and designing training materials. We’ll also look to you to deliver leadership development programs and pilot programs. It is a dynamic, forward-thinking role where your leadership and contribution will impact Hillenbrand’s learning, leadership development, employee experience, and diversity & inclusion.

Responsibilities also include the following:

  • Developing relationships with business subject matter experts, human resources professionals, learning content providers, and employees including high potentials.
  • Assessing training needs through interviews with employees, focus groups, and consultation with managers and outside vendors, as necessary.
  • Evaluating approaches for training and development to optimize effectiveness, costs, and business impact. This will include making recommendations for when solutions are fully custom, semi-custom, and off the shelf.


 Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ enterprise-level learning experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven track record in training, facilitation, instructional design and/or management
  • Demonstrated ability to identify gaps and complex needs, and create professional, engaging, and effective learning content that will address them
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Less than 10% travel may be required
