Enterprise Architect Engineer/Project Management

Hillenbrand is looking for an Enterprise Architect Engineer (Open to Remote work) to join our team. As an Enterprise Architect Engineer you will be responsible for supporting and assist in governing, designing, and collaborating with internal IT teams to define major aspects of the architecture of applications, including user interface, middleware, and infrastructure; providing technical leadership to the applications development team; ensuring uniform enterprise-wide application design standards are maintained, and collaborating with other internal and external stakeholders to ensure the architecture is aligned with business requirements. Responsible for overseeing key functions performed by the Strategic Projects team, including management of special projects.

What you’ll do:

  • Define and develop an enterprise architecture and application roadmaps
  • Define and communicate application and infrastructure standards that will ensure that the evolution of technology used will be aligned with the defined roadmap
  • Define and deliver standards, guidelines and frameworks to support the development and integration of applications and infrastructure consistent with the enterprise architecture roadmap
  • Evaluate solutions and ensuring compliance with methodologies and standards, ensuring that new solutions are aligned with long-term technology vision
  • Manage the Architecture Review Board to ensure that the roadmap and architectural standards are based on user feedback and will be followed in the line
  • Examine Business and IT systems, determine trends, and develop ways to streamline processes and functions to support future goals of the organization
  • Responsible for managing the overall planning, execution, and delivery of projects of various complexity and length while tracking project status and managing project issues and risks
  • Provide solution consultation on the initiation, requirements, and design for all projects
  • Evaluates new technology or enhanced technology and determines if and how to integrate it into the Enterprise portfolio
  • Other duties may be assigned


  • Experience working with the business model, process knowledge, and fundamental IT architectures and technologies
  • 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure/O365 suite
  • 5+ years of experience working in business skills and methods – strategy planning and budget management
  • Experience in building and govern an enterprise architecture program that includes a framework with clearly defined processes following a set of best practices.
  • Experience with architect modeling and graphic representations and role design
  • Experience in IT Security and Legal environments – data protection, contract law
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient at project management, data analysis & metric development


  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in Information Systems or 10 years of equivalent work experience and/or training


Candidate must be able to travel up to 10%
