Inventory Planner

Basic Requirements:

The incumbent of this role will hold a Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree.   Process improvement knowledge and experience (such as Lean Manufacturing or 6 Sigma); planning experience in a global environment; must be proficient with MS Office; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; strong implementation and project management skills; ability to multi-task; strong organization skills; good written and oral communication skills; strong inter-personal skills; good attention to detail; ability to be proactive; creative individual with an expected ability to make recommendations for change and continuous improvement initiatives.

The incumbent is familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected along with a specialized technical knowledge that comes from internal experience

Effort and Work Environment

Physical and Sensory demands are representative of an employee working in a fast-paced office environment.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.  The employee is frequently required use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  Specific vision requirements are good general vision, ability to distinguish between colours, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 

The incumbent in this role will work in the office environment and production plant.  The noise level is moderate; safety boots and eye protection are required; the working area is climate controlled.  Work may require occasional travel, depending on activity.
