Responsible for management of the service department


  • Manage the customer field service department
  • Responsible for scheduling service resources for customer site calls and internal telephone support
  • Insure the delivery of customer service according to Coperion K-Tron`s strategies and goals
  • Identify and/or provide technical training for all service personnel
  • Interface with other departments such as R & D, manufacturing, and engineering to resolve product deficiencies discovered in the field
  • Achieve the economic goals of the department
  • Monitor warranty costs
  • Establish revenue and expense budgets and forecast for Service Department
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all Coperion K-Tron products, policies, and goals
  • Travel to customer sites to resolve customer issues and build customer relationships
  • Work with other Coperion & Coperion K-Tron service groups globally to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; Spanish speaking is a plus
  • Knowledge of process control, weighing, serial communication and bulk materials handling
  • PC computer literate
  • Knowledge of Coperion K-Tron controls and demo equipment
  • 5 years management experience in service industry or 5 years of Coperion K- Tron service experience
  • Knowledge of Coperion K-Tron products
  • Ability to develop and manage a departmental budget
  • Leadership ability and organizational skills
  • Strong capabilities to identify problems and issues and define corrective actions
  • Maintain neat and orderly, hazard free work area
  • Normal office environment and knowledge of industrial process plants' safety regulations and procedures.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety procedures
