Employment Contract as Project Engineer for Recycling 100% (m/f/d)


Your tasks

Main responsibilities and purpose of the position:

You will provide technical support within the project team regarding the development of detailed engineering of the orders assigned to you, reporting functionally to the Project Manager during the performance of the same.

Specific activities:

  • You will ensure the assessment of:
    • customer specifications
    • the installation environment of the system
    • the local regulations of the country of installation of the system
  • On the basis of the assessment of the previous points, you will elaborate - together with the Process Engineer - the document "Basic Design Data"
  • You will draw up a list of all parts of the plant on the basis of internal Coperion S.r.l. procedures.
  • You will define in detail the characteristics of the individual machines, process equipment or instrumentation that are part of the plant - such as: compressors, fans, heat exchangers, valves, pressure switches - through the preparation of appropriate documents (technical specifications and/or data sheets) to request an offer from suppliers, taking into account the specifications of the customer and the installation environment and the local standards of the country where the plant is installed.
  • You will carry out the technical comparison of the offers received from suppliers and any technical clarifications with the suppliers themselves
  • You will prepare the technical specifications and/or data sheets (or simply modify the technical specifications used to request an offer) for the issue of orders to suppliers
  • You will be responsible for the engineering documentation of the assigned order, such as: equipment list, piping list, valve list, ...
  • You will be responsible for the management of external resources for risk analysis activities for the integration of purchased equipment and for the preparation of the related technical file
  • You will provide support to supervisors during the installation and start-up phase of the plant

Activities on request:

  • You will provide support to the sales office for the definition of equipment/tools during the offer phase of a plant
  • You will visit the construction site, during the bidding phase or during the execution of an order, for a survey of the existing situation
  • You will visit the site, to provide technical support, during the installation phase and or start-up of the plant
  • You will attend meetings with customers at their offices or at Coperion offices
  • You will provide the study of new technical solutions and/or standardization of existing technical solutions
  • You will manage the resource assigned to them for the design of construction drawings of tanks and fittings and perform the technical verification of the afore-mentioned graphic works
  • You will give support to the Project Manager for the functional planning of the project
  • You will give support to the Quality Office for the quality control of the equipment/tools purchased


Your profile

Preferential requirements for access to the position:

  • Bachelor in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering
  • At least 3-4 years‘ professional experience in a similar position gained within the technical department of companies that produce plants or machines for the recycling of plastics


Technical and professional knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office environment
  • English language (Advanced level)
  • German language is advantageous
  • Principles of pneumatics/electrics
  • Process and automation knowledge
  • Welding principles
  • Knowledge of Solidworks/Comos
  • ERP System (Navision, SAP, or other management systems)
