As the Intern/ Co-op, you will be a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team. Your work will be focused on on building standard operating procedures and standard work instructions for the newly developed flow line and other assembly lines as needed. You will also have the opportunity to lead and support continuous improvement projects associated with your findings in building the procedures and instructions. To be successful in this role, you will will spend the majority of your days on the production floor partnering with engineers, fabricators, mechanical assemblers, and various members of the Operations leadership team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Identify/Learn the current flow process.
  • Develop work instruction by connecting with internal shop partners.
  • Listen to existing shop floor issues and develop ways to eliminate efficiency problems.
  • Develop and document new work instructions.

  • Relevant engineering coursework at the Sophomore level and above in pursuit of Bachelor’s in Engineering. Currently enrolled in engineering degree program.
