We offer an hiring contract in our specialized Field Service Team in Ferrara - Italy (5 minutes from motorway exit and 10 minutes from train station). We are speaking about a permanent position, immediate need.
Type and duration of the initial contract is connected to effective experience of the candidate.

Your tasks
Main responsibilities and purpose of the position: 

  • Planning, management, monitoring and control of on-site activities
  • Responsible for field service personnel
  • Develops relationships with sub-contractors to ensure proper staffing and skill level for all field service
  • Supports the customer in case of any technical issue and coordinate relevant actions to solve problems with the aim of customer satisfaction

Specific activities: 

  • Manages the scheduling of internal and external resources (e.g. new projects, services, modernization) 
  • Plans (in collaboration with the project manager and the customer) the installation and testing activities for each job, ensuring that all activities, resources, equipment, materials, etc., are planned in advance and clearly identified, assigning the relative responsibilities among the teams involved
  • Organize (in collaboration with the project manager) a "handover" meeting to the assigned supervisors before the start of the worksite.
  • Manages requests for tenders/contracts for the quotation/assignment of mechanical and electrical assemblies
  • Coordinates all site activities and manages the related logistical issues 
  • Supports the project manager in managing any technical issues on site
  • Examines non-conformities and complaints relating to installation and service activities and defines any corrective and preventive measures required
  • Evaluates the quality of subcontractors according to company procedures 
  • Monitors the costs of the project and provides the final result to the project manager.
  • Participates/organizes case-review meeting at the end of the project
  • Reports and agrees with the sales and technical departments any change orders
  • Supports the commercial department in calculating service costs for plant and machine offers
  • Promotes the improvement of the service cost calculation tools available to the sales department
  • Standardises site management tools (software, reports, ....)
  • Monitors the preparation of safety documentation relating to customer worksites 
  • Supports the construction site office in the preparation of service offers
  • Manages activities related to the interface of the construction site office with other company departments.
  • Promotes actions aimed at reducing the costs involved in site management 
  • Promotes the training of assigned resources, through the suggestion of training courses identified from time to time and in line with the requirements of the international Coperion network 
  • Supports from a technical point of view the sale of spare parts, modernisation and service 
  • Carries out consultancy activities for the technical office and production with a view to guiding technical choices towards installation activities, including:
    participating in the kick-off of orders
    periodically consulting technicians on the state of engineering progress, particularly at certain critical moments (definition of lay-out, piping routing, installation solutions...)
    provides suggestions for technical-practical solutions to problems that may arise during engineering development and field installation
    provide suggestions for improving the quality or design of the product
    collect feed-back from site supervisors and provide revised input to the technical office (technical case reviews
    Supervises the general planning of MH site activities.

Activities on request:

  • You visit the construction site, during the bidding phase or during the execution of an order, for a survey of the existing situation
  • You visit the site, to provide technical support, during the installation phase and or start-up of the plant

Your profile

Preferential requirements for access to the position:

  • Technical background  with at least 5 years of experience as a site technician coming from material handling conveying system and/or oil & gas (these are the preferred business sectors)
  • Organizational & administrative background at least 3 years of experience
  • Degree in Mechanical/ Automation Engineering is an advantage

Technical and professional knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office environment (including MSProject)
  • Knowledge of technical drawing 
  • Mechanical/electrical knowledge 
  • English language (Upper-Intermediate level)
