European Sales Engineer (f/m/d)


Your Tasks

  • Manage sales of all products in assigned territory with emphasis in the forestry sector. Develop and implement strategies to grow market share in the forestry segments.
  • Responsible for sales activity as directed by European Sales Manager including representative training, field support, sales leads, inquiries, proposals, pricing, sales analysis, forecasting and other administrative sales activities to achieve profitable sales goals in the region.
  • In conjunction with European Sales Manager develop, maintain and motivate an effective sales organization. This includes input in the selection and management of independent sales agencies.
  • In coordination with the marketing department and the European Sales Manager, develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share of machines and replacement parts.
  • Provide input to the product development group for the development of products to meet the needs and requirements as defined by the marketing plans for the assigned territories.
  • Provide our customers with a high level of service and support, including technical support to solve field problems and/or application problems
  • Working with the aftermarket parts department, develop and execute strategic business plans to grow our parts business and support our customer’s needs.


Your profile

  • A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a college or university with a focus in engineering or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Background in material handling, process controls or packing, sifting in the European forestry segment (paper mills, sawmills, biomass)
  • Several years of professional experience in the above-mentioned area of responsibility
  • Intermediate MS-Office skills and proficient language skills in English and German required
  • Extensive analytical and organizational skills plus consistent target and result orientation
  • Highly motivated team player with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively in Europe and occasionally outside Europe
