Hillenbrand is looking for a Director of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join our team. As a F&P Director you will be responsible for providing financial leadership at the corporate level, leading the reporting and analysis of results, driving the planning and forecasting processes, and assisting executive management in developing strategic plans. This role will work closely with operating company CFOs and segment leaders to provide analysis on actual results, develops forecasts and action plans, and provides analysis and decision support to the executive management team.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead Hillenbrand’s annual operating plan process and quarterly forecasting process, working with each individual operating company to finalize key financial and operating metrics for the company
  • Lead the development of the long-range financial projections in support of organic and inorganic growth targets as part of the annual strategic planning process
  • Lead Hillenbrand’s operating companies through financial cycles including monthly analysis of actual results, development of rolling forecast updates, and development of annual operating and long-range financial plans
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and analyze financial information to understand current and expected future financial performance; identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly
  • Lead and/or participate in enterprise level strategic projects including, but not limited to, M&A due diligence and integrations, etc.
  • Drive Finance Transformation across the enterprise by partnering with Operating Company CFOs to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance function
  • Partner with operating companies to improve financial metrics and forecasting, evaluate capital investment opportunities, and lead financial planning activities for the integration of acquired businesses
  • Develop creative and insightful analysis of complex business issues to inform executive leadership and drive effective decisions in support of the company’s profitable growth objectives
  • Make recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies
  • Develop financial presentations and written communications for presentation to executive management, the board of directors, and external investors and analysts
  • Provide financial leadership and business partner support to all corporate departments

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises employees.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


  • Minimum 10 years of progressive corporate finance experience, including 5 years in a management position
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills including the ability to implement strategic plans
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills as well as experience interacting with executive management
  • Excellent financial modeling, project management, and strategic thinking skills
  • Bachelor’s degree


Great to Haves:

  • MBA or CPA strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) projects that involved financial due diligence, valuation, tracking, and/or post-merger integration preferred
  • Industrial manufacturing experience preferred
  • International experience preferred
