Batesville is looking for a Tool Maker to join our team in Batesville, Indiana on 2nd shift. As a Tool Maker you will be responsible for building equipment including but not limited to weld tooling, gauges, fixtures, and dies.

What you’ll do:
•    Verify conformance of parts to detailed drawings
•    Verify alignment and tolerances of moving parts
•    Test operation of assembly by hand
•    Assemble, set up, and operate machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer's specifications
•    Support operations by designing and building parts, equipment, weld tooling, gauges, fixtures, etc.
•    Troubleshoot and repair tooling, gauges, fixtures, etc.
•    Communicate with management, engineers, technicians, and production personnel
•    Direct and/or participate in lean manufacturing projects for improvement in quality, cost, and delivery
•    Sharpen drill bits and other perishable tooling to support production needs
•    Responsible for inventory of perishable tooling
•    Other duties may be assigned

 

Basic Requirements:
•    High School Diploma or GED
•    Minimum of two (2) years of technical experience or training

 

Great to Haves:
•    Demonstrated learning agility
•    Good understanding of machining processes and safety controls
•    Proficiency with CAMS and SolidWorks
•    Wire EDM experience 
•    Experience picking parts on comparator
