Coperion is in search of a Shipping Clerk, to join out team in Salina, KS. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for verifying and ensuring safe and orderly shipment of customer goods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Move and organize materials and items from receiving areas to storage or other designated areas.
  • Interact with internal/external customers on a daily basis and provide customer service as needed.
  • Accurately package, label and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method and shipping charges.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate invoices to accompany shipments and ensure all items are packaged and shipped to company standards.
  • Loads route trucks as indicated on the daily load request and verifies the order by double checking the quantity.
  • Ensure accuracy of pick lists prior to shipping.
  • Ensure all export declarations are followed to customer specifications.
  • Assist with cycle counts.
  • Keeps warehouse clean, orderly and in safe condition at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager/lead.


  • 1-3 years related warehouse experience required
  • Must have forklift and computer experience (Microsoft office)
  • Working knowledge of various shop related components and processes
  • Interpersonal skills required courtesy, tact and cooperation; necessary to communicate and/or work with customers, vendors, co-workers and visitors.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Mechanically able to use small power and hand tools.
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workloads
  • Familiar with and able to interpret packing slips
  • Ability to acknowledge receipt of the goods into the purchase order and processing database
  • Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers. 
  • Must be capable of estimating weight and use that information to calculate the cost of shipping. 
  • Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements. 
  • Experience with UPS/FEDEX online software is desirable.


  • High school diploma or GED
