Mold Masters is looking for a Production Planner (Final Assembly) to join our team in Georgetown, ON.  The Production Planner (Final Assembly) is responsible for  developing, planning, and administering a demand plan for our Hot Runner systems production requirements, to support our customers’ delivery expectations. The incumbent works closely with cross functional team and is responsible for developing and incorporating tracking data to monitor:

What you’ll do:
•    Sales orders Bill of Materials, components requirements and shortages
•    Managing components supply to support on time delivery performance for Mold Masters product family
•    Monitoring, controlling WIP levels to control working capital and also control lead time
•    Analysis of any chronic material shortages to address root cause
•    Inventory data integrity
•    Closely coordinating with related manufacturing team to support revenue recognition
•    Capable of coordinating the integration of all material deliveries through the supply chain to ensure on time deliveries of system components to final assembly.
•    Create production orders for Final Assembly value stream and coordinate smooth flow of shipment and relevant activities
•    Develop and monitor supply schedule based on products’ complexity and BOM, inventory reduction plan, customer delivery requirements and lead time.
•    Manage weekly and daily delivery schedule and provide periodic update on Assembly progress on a regular basis
•    Review level load report and work closely with Master scheduler for on time delivery
•    Conducts analysis to monitor demand vs capacity and follows up appropriately
•    Compile reports on progress of Work in progress, Inventory level and production attainment
•    Work Closely with Final Assembly, Master Scheduler, stockroom, production planning team and buyers to attain customer delivery schedule
•    Lead and manage daily shortage meeting to support sales orders delivery schedule.
•    Expedite materials if necessary. Determine root cause for shortages and propose/implement corrective actions.
•    Manage and maintain intercompany/interdivisional parts procurement activity and inventory
•    Create production orders for hot runner systems and relevant components
•    Make recommendations for productivity and/or method improvements
•    Identify cost reduction opportunities in line with company goals.
•    Take the lead to ensure WIP inventories are properly maintained as per identified objectives.
•    Maintain products’ BOM, Delivery Schedule and closely work with design / stockroom team for ECR and MCR change
•    Proactively communicate potential issues and interruptions of supply to management team
•    Provide back up support for master scheduling activities

Basic Requirements:
•    A minimum of four to five (4-5) years of (Supply Chain Management) SCM related professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
•    The incumbent of this role must have either a University Degree in BA or Mathematics or equivalent years of experience in a similar role, preferably in machining.
•    Demonstrated career accomplishment in the SCM area; manufacturing, planning and inventory management experience in a global environment; exceptional professional working knowledge of Microsoft package(Advanced Excel skill is a must)

•    WHS management, logistics experience; APICS (CPIM or CSCP)
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
•    Ability to multi-task; strong organization and analytical skills
•    Good written and oral communication skills; strong inter-personal skills
•    Good attention to detail given the company wide impact
•    Ability to be proactive and incorporate efficiencies into daily tasks
•    Creative individual with an expected ability to make recommendations for change and continuous improvement initiatives.
