Position Summary:

Our payroll team located in our Batesville, IN office is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Payroll Specialist. We are looking for an engaged, customer focused, and process minded individual.  This position will be responsible for the accurate processing and recording of payroll in the U.S.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Assist in processing of Weekly and Biweekly payrolls including exempt and non-exempt, union and non-union employees.
  • Respond to various audit and tax agency queries and requests
  • Understand proper taxation set-up in ADP Vantage.
  • Assist in executing the year end payroll and W-2 process.
  • Keep informed of regulations, interpretations and practices pertaining to payroll functions.
  • Work with ADP MPS (Managed Payroll Service) Team to process employee pay accurately and timely.

Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory responsibilities for this role.

Skills/Experience:

  • A minimum of three - five years of multi-state payroll experience.
  • An in-depth knowledge of Payroll systems is required.
  • Experience with e-Time, and ADP Vantage is strongly preferred.
  • A broad knowledge of payroll related federal, state, & local regulations is highly desired and very ideal for this role.
  • Strong PC aptitude and analytical skills, including high level spreadsheet capabilities (Excel) is required.
  • The ability to make payroll process improvements/increase efficiency is required.
  • This position requires organization and the ability to prioritize and multi-task projects.
  • The ability to deal sensitively with confidential information is required.
  • The ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively and efficiently with all-levels of team members in a confidential manner is required.
  • A customer service, teamwork, accuracy, and strong attention to detail mindset is required.
  • The ability to work outside normal work day hours as needed is required.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
