Position Summary:

Batesville is looking to hire an Inside Sales Manager located in Batesville, IN.  This position will lead the team that is responsible for promoting direct and indirect sales via phone customer relations. This position is expected to foster and nurture an environment of problem solving, teamwork and collaboration.  Responsible for developing and implementing regional strategies and tactics, in order to achieve business objectives by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate direct reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Responsible for sales program management. Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.  Directs and monitors the activities of sales associates to achieve sales objectives; Monitors sales associate performance and ensures sales activity aligns with quotas being met. Assigns sales territory to Sales Representatives.
  • Guides the sales team in the development of business tactics, territory goals, strategic call planning, lead management, uncovering customer objectives to gain growth in sales monthly, quarterly and annually with relevant problem solving.
  • Coaches’ sales representatives on the technical aspects of the organization’s products and sales techniques, procedures, and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets.  Trains, develops, and provides on-going motivation to sales associates; may have some selling responsibility.
  • Supports Sales Representatives in the development and maintenance of relationships and managing the sales process.  Observes Sales Representatives performance with customers in order to identify coaching opportunities.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of the region within budgetary requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company policies, the Code of Ethical Business Conduct and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Skills/Experience:
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and use of iPad required
  • CRM system management
  • Knowledge of company database software; internet software; and presentation software required
Education:

Bachelor’s degree (B.S. /B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university; and a minimum of five years related sales/sales management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in sales and sales management. 


Travel:

Minimal travel required.
