Coperion is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Wytheville, Virginia. As a Maintenance Mechanic you will perform all preventive/predictive and unplanned maintenance to existing facilities and production equipment as needs occur.

What you’ll do:

•    Provide electrical capabilities to the maintenance department for both facilities
•    Conduct all duties of the Maintenance Dept. including plumbing, electrical, rigging, fire protection, floor covering, moving furniture and all other similar duties associated with the buildings and grounds.
•    Help the Maintenance Dept. develop and implement all applicable preventive/predictive maintenance in coordination with manufacturing to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness
•    Utilize the Maintenance software (ManagerPlus) for all applicable equipment in both buildings.
•    Perform all work in accordance with OSHA regulations and Coperion’s Safety Program using appropriate safety equipment 
•    Work with outside contractors as necessary
•    Promote housekeeping
•    Participate in all EH&S programs as relevant to all employees of Coperion
•    Other duties may be assigned

Basic Requirements:

•    Minimum of 3-5 years as a maintenance mechanic with electrical background.

•    Must be able to balance priorities in work schedules
•    Mechanical maintenance experience
•    Must work well with all fellow employees
•    Certified Electrician
•    Basic computer skills
