The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for performing and driving and HR/UR solutions within the Rotex Operating Company. Functioning as a business partner to our leadership teams, we’ll look to you to provide full service human resource leadership to ensure implementation and achievement of company objectives and initiatives. The HRBP will work closely with both operations leadership & union. This position carries out HR responsibilities in the following functional areas: associate/union relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy & contract implementation, recruitment/employment and compliance.

Essential/Key Functions: 
•    Serve as HR business partner with internal clients on Union & Employee Relations, manage business issues impacting associates and maintain positive associate/team member relations.
•    Acts as liaison between associates/union and leadership to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, regulations & the bargaining agreement. 
•    Investigates and works to settle grievances under the site grievance procedure.
•    Supports salaried/professional Rotex teams: Sales, Engineering, Field Services and other business support functions.
•    Manage on-boarding activities and work with new associates as they integrate into the business.
•    Administer corporate training & leadership development programs; including performance management & coaching
•    Support onsite safety programs by conducting team member safety trainings, promoting safe working practices, complying with OSHA regulations, and reporting on all accidents and injuries
•    Maintain analytic data on team member headcount, absenteeism, turnover, leaves, and other important metrics 
•    Coordinate and administer promotions, transfers, wage/salary increases, procedures, performance management, and other HR programs in compliance with Rotex/Hillenbrand Corporate Compensation Policies
•    Assist associates with corporate resources and information on benefits, payroll, etc.
•    Maintain knowledge of company policies and government regulations to ensure compliance
•    Engage in other HR activities and special projects as assigned and share best practices

•    Bachelor’s degree required; in Human Resources, Employee/Labor Relations or related.
•    5 or more years of HR generalist/business partner experience.
•    Previous experience working in a union environment 
•    Working knowledge of local, state and federal HR laws employment laws impacting associates and employers. (OSHA, EEO, Labor Laws, I-9, FLSA, etc.)
•    Excellent communication capability, including ability to work with all-levels of associates in a situational appropriate and confidential manner.
Desired Qualifications:
•    Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
•    Experience and understanding of HRIS systems and payroll systems (ADP) is a plus
•    Strong PC aptitude and analytical skills, including high level spreadsheet capabilities (Excel)
