Position Summary:

The Global Travel & Expense Program Senior Manager role will transform the existing domestic program into a scalable global platform. Partnering with the procurement team’s Travel Category Manager, the ideal candidate will possess the energy and drive to create and sustain this global platform.  Successful applicants will be exceptional communicators with a sound knowledge of the travel, expense and corporate card functions.

The Global Travel & Expense Program Senior Manager may be based anywhere in Eastern or Central time zones and will report to the Senior Director, Finance and Finance Global Shared Services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage the travel and expense (T&E) program operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This includes travel, expense processing and corporate cards.
  • Manage and coach the T&E team to achieve goals and KPIs and maintain good performance. The T&E team includes direct and indirect reports and internal and external team members.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and end users and serve as point of escalation for T&E issues.
  • Ensure T&E system functionality and data integrity, including SAP Concur Expense and T&E ticket system.
  • Oversee T&E reporting and analyze metrics to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work closely in cross function with procurement’s Travel Category Manager to execute global standardization of travel, expense, and corporate card functions.
  • Manage global roll-out of Concur Expense software and corporate card program.
  • Coordinate with cross functional stakeholders to lead change management and employee facing communications.
  • Create and maintain T&E procedures, trainings and other resources.
  • Apply continuous improvement mindset to streamline, standardize and automate T&E processes and systems in line with best practices.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position includes supervisory responsibility for two full-time direct reports, as well as indirect supervision for other team members and external parties.

Skills/Experience:

 

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant management experience in a Travel and Expense operations role.
  • In depth knowledge of SAP Concur Expense and associated compliance, including end-to-end functionality, corporate card integration and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of the Concur Expense integrated travel tool.
  • Experience in global T&E program expansion and managing programs across multiple regions.
  • Established history of thriving in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to prioritize and readily execute against time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong customer-service focus and superior self-organizational skills, comfortable coordinating simultaneous tasks and projects with multi-departmental stakeholders.
  • Excellent professional written and verbal skills; comfortable communicating with technical and non-technical audiences, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work under high pressure and keep a positive and forward-thinking attitude.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Business or Finance is preferred.

Travel:

This position may require up to 25% international travel during global roll-out.
